
Dr. Arthur Ashman, a Westport resident who has spent over 35 years in the dentistry field, will speak on "Innovative advances in dentistry...or why you can't do without us!" at the Westport Sunrise Rotary breakfast meeting on Friday, Sept. 27. The meeting will be held at Bobby Q's (42 Main St. in Westport) at 7:30 a.m. Guests are welcome. There is a $12 fee for the meeting, which includes a breakfast buffet.
Dr. Ashman will discuss breakthroughs in dental technology involving the use of synthetic bone graft materials and dental implants. "It's very exciting where dentistry is going," he said.
Dr. Ashman is a clinical professor and founder of Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University, College of Dentistry. His private practice is Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery, Rehabilitative and Implant Dentistry. A former associate clinical professor at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and former head of dental research at Mt. Sinai Hospital Center, he is the co-inventor of Bioplant® HTR® Synthetic Bone™ Material.
