Write Yourself Free of Westport is offering three workshops on Writing for Children with recognized children's book author Victoria Sherrow.
Sherrow is the author of 14 picture books, including two from Harper. Her Chipmunk at Hollow Tree Lane (Soundprints) won a Parent's Choice Gold Award and Vermont Reading Circle Award and was a Scholastic book club selection. Twenty-six of Victoria's books are listed in Best Books for Children, Preschool Through Grade 6 and Young Adult (2005). Victoria will draw upon her experience as the author of more than 80 published books and numerous short stories and articles for children and teens, all sold without an agent. Victoria has also been an editorial assistant and contest judge, reviewed children's books, and has taught taught at The Institute of Children's Literature since 1991.
