Connecticut author Linda Howard Urbach runs a writing workshop called "The MoMoirs Workshop." In this workshop, the writing is for and about mothers. Urbach, along with co-authors Lisa Maxwell, Eileen Grace and Gayle Gleckler, recently published an anthology of their work entitled MoMoirs: I'll Give You Something to Cry About! On Friday, May 9, at noon, in the Westport Library's McManus Room, the four authors will discuss the book, their approach to writing and editing, and the self-publishing process. The program is free and open to the public, and books will be available for purchase and signing.
Urbach is the author of three novels, Expecting Miracles, which was sold to Paramount Pictures, Madame Bovary's Daughter and The Money Honey. She is also the originator of the play "MoMoirs‒The Umbilical Cord Stops Here!," which premiered at the Zipper Theater in New York City and engendered The MoMoirs Workshop. She also co-authored with Roberto Mitrotti "The Secret Diary of Sigmund Freud," which was produced by 20th Century Fox Specialized Film Division.
