Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Spring Architecture + Design!
Three questions with Jessica Talley, Principal Architect at Spring Architecture + Design.
Why did you start your business?
I started Spring Architecture and Design to create beauty, sustainability, and well-being for the community, and environment. Our mission is to make the world better by helping people feel happy and healthy in their built space, while also being environmentally conscious. Through our designs, we bring people together in the community to experience architecture and landscape.
On a personal level, I believe in a balanced life and while I value my career and mission to use my talents to improve the world through architecture; I am also married and an active mother of 3 young children. I created Spring Architecture and Design to have and give others the option of working during preferred hours and remotely when needed to ensure a productive, and efficient work-life experience that yields expansive success.
What is your best-selling product/service?
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Yes, we believe in supporting local and startups with integrity as well as female and mom entrepreneurs, being one myself. We currently work with the following local businesses that have helped with supporting our company, such as Jaime Paoletti at Garcia Milas, and Michelle Long at EMA Energy Management Authority. We would love to and intend to work with more local design and collaborative businesses.
