Why did you start your business?
Westport is a beautiful town that attracts a lot of people from different states, especially during the summer. When visiting, people need wheels to get around and that’s where we come in. We felt a need for a name-brand car rental service in Westport so we decided to open up a location, conveniently located at the Westport Train Station. Whether you are visiting, your car is being repaired, or you just need a vehicle to go on that road trip with your friends, we are here to help. We have every kind of vehicle in our fleet ranging from economy size, convertibles, and luxury, all the way up to big SUVs and 15-passenger vans.
Here at Avis Budget Car Rentals, we believe in going the extra mile. Some of you might have seen our ads back in the days titled, “Avis, We Try Harder”. If you haven’t, check them out here and here. They are guaranteed to make you at least smile!
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our best-selling vehicles are convertibles and Jeep Wranglers. We can’t seem to hold on to them. Seems like everyone wants either one of these two, and we don’t blame them. They are really fun to drive on a nice sunny day with the top down.
We use local car service shops to keep our vehicles maintained. Our preferred service shops are Mobil Garage located on Riverside Ave and Firestone in Fairfield. We also use Mobil Gas Stations to fill up our vehicles. Our office supplies come from Staples located on Westport Ave and our cleaning products come from Home Depot located on Connecticut Ave.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
We continue to “reimagine our business” to make it easier than ever for our customers to rent a car. We have developed a completely app-based experience so you can rent a car from the comfort of your smartphone within minutes. You can skip the line by selecting your vehicle from the app and scanning a QR code at the exit gate. You can be on your way in your rental vehicle with no wait times.
