Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Uscarcierge!

Three questions with Michelle Caplan, founder of Uscarcierge.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business in August 2021 after a 25-year career in the car business. I decided to go on my own as I saw a niche in the car business as the process of buying a car was becoming so hard for consumers I decided I would become an advocate for people wanting to purchase a car. Covid destroyed customer service in the car business. I did not want my customers to be taken advantage of and overpay for their vehicles.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Independent car buying service anywhere in the USA for a flat fee! Stress-free with personalized service!

I study new and used car prices around the country daily, stay abreast of industry trends such as how the global chip shortage has caused new car supply issues, and how demand for used cars has caused prices to skyrocket.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Yes after 25 years working in the car industry I reimagined the business I was in and started USCARCIEGE. I went from the sell side to the buy side and began acting on behalf of consumers across America.
