Sustainable Westport Hosts Residential Energy Learning Series

Interested in learning how to make your home more energy efficient? Want to help our community reach our goal of becoming Net Zero by 2050?

Sustainable Westport is sponsoring a three-part FREE Residential Energy Learning Series just for you! Our sessions are designed to provide you with information, resources, and the confidence to kick off your energy-saving home improvement project. An expert panel of energy professionals, paired with real-life Westporters who have been through the process of installing these products, will lead the conversation and answer any questions that you may have.

Join us at the following sessions in the Komansky Room at the Westport Library, beginning with a reception and welcome at 6:30 p.m., followed by the presentation and Q&A from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

  • All About Heat Pumps: Tuesday, October 3 (REGISTER HERE)

  • Everything Solar: Tuesday, November 7

  • Going Geothermal: Tuesday, December 5

Our first session, “All About Heat Pumps,” will begin with a light reception and welcome followed by a presentation on how heat pumps work to make your home more energy efficient by Matt Corona from Abode Energy Management and David Hazel from Mitsubishi Electric Heating and Air Conditioning. Next, Westport resident Alex Geer will share his personal experience installing a heat pump in his home, including how he navigated various installation offers and rebates. The evening will conclude with time for Q&A with our panel. Register to attend this FREE event, here.
