Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

Meet Bruce Haymes co-founder of Stage18, Inc.

We founded Stage18 to fill a gap in the market: providing high-quality execution support to management teams and investors.

Why did you start your business?

Midsized companies that are financed by private equity require both operational and strategic support to achieve their financial goals.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Strategic management consulting combined with fractional operational support.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We do not have any clients in Fairfield County but given the large number of middle-market private equity firms in the area, we would love to develop stronger relationships in our area.

Have you reimagined your small business?

We only recently launched in 2023 so we are current on our business strategy, but one thing that we have learned is that virtually every midsized company reaches a point where their growth slows - we have been able to help our clients reimagine THEIR businesses!
