David Suter joins Landmark Preschool/Ridgefield Academy as new Associate Head of School & Director of Enrollment

Ridgefield Academy is pleased to welcome Mr. David Suter as the Associate Head of School and Director of Enrollment for Ridgefield Academy and Landmark Preschools.

Mr. Suter is not new to Fairfield County, having served as the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at St. Luke's School (New Canaan, CT) from 2002 - 2007. He left St. Luke's in 2007 to become Head of School at Upland Country Day School (Kennett Square, PA), a preschool – grade nine co-educational, independent day school with many similarities to Ridgefield Academy. "What brought me and my family to Ridgefield Academy is the school's transformational and comprehensive program, as well as its caring and dedicated faculty and staff. I feel fortunate to join a community where academic excellence, whole-child development, and personalized opportunities to succeed combine to produce such wonderful graduates as the ones I have encountered from RA over the years."

Dave is a graduate of The College of Holy Cross and holds an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University as well as an M. Ed. in School Leadership from Columbia University. He has enjoyed a rich and varied career over almost twenty years at several independent schools as a teacher, coach and administrator and brings much experience and insight to his new position at Ridgefield Academy. "David has a deep commitment to education and unbridled enthusiasm for children and families," commented Jim Heus, Head of School.
