ElderHouse Dancing with the Stars Gala Benefit on March 24

 

Nonprofit ElderHouse Adult Day Center presents its high-profile cast of dancers as preparations are in full swing for March 24, 2018 gala at Wilton’s Rolling Hills Country Club

Norwalk, Conn. – Dance shoes in closets around Fairfield County are being brought out for polishing as leaders of the local business community begin the demanding process necessary to compete in ElderHouse Adult Day Center’s Dancing with the Stars – 5th Annual Gala Benefit. The event is being held March 24, 2018, from 6:00 to 11 p.m., at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton, CT. The gala event showcases seven Fairfield County business representatives, each paired with an award-winning dance professional from Norwalk’s Fred Astaire Dance Studio, who donate their time to practice routines, hone them to perfection, and compete in this exciting and impressive dance competition.

The notable lineup of 2018 dancers representing Fairfield County includes:

  1.     Carolyn Donohue-Ulman, assistant to president and director of Trademark Anti-Counterfeit, Dooney & Bourke (Norwalk)
  2.     Hank Fatigate, general manager, Little Pub Wilton (Wilton)
  3.     Eric Ferraris, chief operating officer, Toohner-Ferraris Insurance Group (Wilton)
  4.     Nathan Gottlieb, co-owner, All Seasons Marine Works (Rowayton/Westport)
  5.     Karen Kelly, senior vice-president First County Bank (Stamford)
  6.     Andrea Kostanecki, realtor, William Pitt Sotheby’s (Rowayton)
  7.     Kristin McClutchy, owner, Pure Barre Darien (Darien)

The star dancers will be competing for coveted top awards including: Best Male and Female Performances, chosen by an esteemed panel of judges; People’s Choice voted by attendees; and Best Friend to ElderHouse for the best fundraising efforts.

“Hats off to our seven volunteer dancers whose time, energy, and enthusiasm for ElderHouse will undoubtedly make this year’s event a huge success,” said Denise Cesareo, executive director at ElderHouse, the Norwalk, CT-based nonprofit adult day center. “Thanks to our five-year partnership with Martin and Gina Goethche, owners of Fred Astaire Dance Studio, we have created a memorable fundraising event enjoyed by all who have attended, which raises important funds to support programs at ElderHouse.”

Dancing with the Stars Gala Benefit is ElderHouse’s largest annual fundraising event, and brings in significant and vital support, which helps to sustain its award-winning program of adult care, socialization, and recreational activities to a senior population living with aging diseases. Funds will be raised through ticket sales, pledges, onsite voting, live auction, and a paddle raise.
