Taste of Westport Set for May 3

Westport, CT - Enjoy the 14th Annual Taste of Westport, an evening of fine food, good cheer and live music to benefit CLASP Homes of Westport, at The Westport Inn, May 3, from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Join a roomful of friends gathered to sample specialties from many of the finest restaurants in the Westport area, listen to Green Eyed Lady, Fairfield County’s best cover band and sample a selection of wine and cocktails poured for your pleasure.

Start with the specialty of the evening — a Fire & Ice cocktail designed for your pleasure by Patrick Camaro, the mixologist who “creates intriguing beverages for some of Fairfield County’s most progressive restaurants.”

Take a slow walk around before you make your first choice. Step out to the ante room for crudités from Garelick & Herbs. Come back for a spot of lobster bisque from Saltwater. Then to Tablao, for a bit of chicken paella. Refresh yourself with a Hibiscus Margarita at Tacos Mexico, and on to tuna tartare and seared sirloin from Harvest Wine Bar. Then off to taste the freshest oysters in town, from Hummock Island Oysters. Finish up with frozen mousse bites at Le Rouge Chocolate — but don’t miss brownies and coffee at Dough & Co.

There’s more, lots more. Amis, Pearl at Longshore, Bobby Q’s Cue & Co., Tarantino, Little Pub — and many more. There’s a specialty cocktail from Greens Farms Spirits, and Mionetto Prosecco. And still more. You won’t go home hungry.

As you’re tasting, stop by the Silent Auction. There’s lots to bid on — all for CLASP. Two tickets to the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Cendrillon, a richly designed Cinderella story; two tickets to Jimmy Fallon, and another two for Trevor Noah; two opportunities to see Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, one offers four box seats and a parking pass; an opportunity see the Connecticut shoreline as you’ve never seen it — from the air, and slowly; and there’s a cruise to Hummock Island to capture great sunset photos and eat your fill of oysters.

Tickets are $75 prepaid, $85 at the door.

Go to www.tasteofwestport.com to buy tickets, or call Robin Hammond at CLASP, 203-226-7895, Ext 144.
