Join Westport Historical Society on Sunday, March 11, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm for this swinging event to be held at Branson Hall at Christ and Holy Trinity Church, 75 Church Lane in Westport!
It’s all about the brass! Before the boys shipped out to fight the enemy in World War 2, they danced the night away with their best girls to the big band tunes of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and Glen Miller. You can learn how to swing dance like the best of them with popular dance instructor Erik Novoa for a program accompanying our exhibit The Curious Case of Ed Vebell, about the famed local illustrator and adventurer who made his name as a field artist in World War 2.
