Theater Workshop Series at Westport Historical Society Kicks Off March 21

Have a flair for the dramatic? Think the stage is for you?

Participate in an eight week theater workshop for middle schoolers (age 11 to 14), every Wed., from March 21 through May 9, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, focused on interpretation and embodiment of historical figures. Participants will be guided through a series of exercises to develop the basic skills of acting, before progressing into monologues and historical interpretation. A variety of guest theater instructors, will share their insider acting knowledge and coach students to hone their craft.

Students will be invited to perform a short monologue or conversation in the role of a famous Westporter at the Drew Freedman Foundation Gala on May 17th as a culmination of the workshop.
