Annual Outdoor Event Offers Everyday and Extraordinary Items…at Unbelievable Prices!
Back by popular demand, Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport is once again hosting its giant, one-of-a-kind “Trinity Tailgate Tag Sale” on Saturday, June 10th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Sellers get the opportunity to buy a spot in the Church’s spacious parking lot in downtown Southport, pack their cars with items for sale, and benefit from the enormous promotion and customer traffic being generated by Trinity. Buyers benefit from the opportunity to find rare treasures at very low prices. And, Trinity earns the proceeds of the parking spot purchases.
All are welcome to participate. There is no need to be a member of the Church.
Location: The location is Trinity’s parking lot, located on the corner of Pequot Avenue and Center Street in Southport.
Come Treasure Hunt! This year, over 40 families will set up spots and sell. What buyers will find: antiques, clothing (Vineyard Vines, Patagonia, Lily, Coach, Hermes), hand bags, scarves and accessories, china, silver, housewares, antiques, children’s party clothes, kayaks, mountain bikes and more (see photos). Visit Merchants’ row and meet local merchants - Bespoke Designs, Two Bs Accessories, Little River Farm, DFM Stationery and more.
Come for Coffee & Stay for Lunch. Bring the Kids! Kick off the morning with coffee, tea, hot chocolate & lemon scones…then stay for lunch with Hapa’s Tacos & Burgers, Taste of Grill’s Mediterranean Fare plus Southport's own Sammy's Pizza. And of course, there will be treats throughout the day: Cookies, Ice Cream, Candy, Water & Sodas. There will be entertainment for the For the Kids: Face Painting & Games.
Want to Sell? The event also offers sellers the opportunity to buy a spot in the Church’s spacious parking lot in downtown Southport, pack up their cars with items they would like to sell, and benefit from the enormous promotion and customer traffic being generated by Trinity. Residents of Fairfield, Bridgeport, Westport, Southport and the surrounding area are invited to buy a “spot” and sell their items, whatever they may be. All are welcome to participate. There is no need to be a member of the Church.
“Last year’s Tailgate Tag Sale gave our neighbors a unique reason to come together and celebrate our community in a new way,” said Peggy Hodgkins, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. “This year’s Tag Sale builds on that success and gives everyone a give their used items a new life. Best of all, the proceeds of the parking spot sales are used to fund the mission and ministries of Trinity Episcopal Church, Southport.”
Among the groups aided by Trinity’s Outreach program are Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Center for Family Justice, Council for Churches of Greater Bridgeport, Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS), Parish Court, St. Luke’s/St. Paul’s Food Pantry, and many more.

RAIN DATE: In the event of rain, the Trinity Tailgate Tag Sale will take place on Sunday, June 11th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
