Save the Date! Whiplash Fashion Show Benefits The Aldrich on October 17

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is pleased to announce that Whiplash, a fashion show fundraiser conceptualized by Whip Salon, will return to the Museum this fall. The event will take place on Thursday, October 17 from 7 to 10 pm and proceeds will benefit the Museum.

Whiplash will bring together community members looking to have an artful evening celebrating fashion, design, and the arts. The night will begin with a cocktail hour, followed by two runway walks, a silent auction, and a dance party with a DJ. Local models will walk a catwalk that traverses the Museum’s galleries sporting trendy attire outfitted by West and Beau Soleil Shop of Westport, with hair and
makeup looks created by Whip Salon.

The inaugural Whiplash fashion show was held in April 2017 and was attended by over 150 guests. The evening raised $14,000 to support The Aldrich’s education and exhibition programming.

Amy Pal, owner of Whip Salon and Aldrich trustee, says, “Creativity is synonymous with the hair and beauty industry, so it seemed natural to create the Whiplash fashion show fundraiser to benefit The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. Whip Salon’s corporate mission not
only includes following our passion for delivering outstanding beauty services, but also finding ways to continually give back to our community. Collaborating with like-minded local businesses like West, Beau Soleil Shop, SUX Straws, and Cylinder Vodka, all from Westport, means we can deliver an incredibly exciting new iteration of the Whiplash event and expand our reach to new audiences to introduce to the Museum.”

This event is generously sponsored by Whip Salon, West, Beau Soleil Shop, SUX Straws, and Cylinder Vodka. Please save the date of Thursday, October 17 for Whiplash! More information, including how to purchase tickets, will be announced shortly.
