Blues Fest in Westport Features Anders Osborne, Lawrence

The banks of the Saugatuck River will once again be filled with cool tunes and smiling faces this Labor Day weekend when the Blues & Views Festival returns to Levitt Pavilion, 40 Jesup Rd., Westport CT 06880, for the 12th consecutive year.  Concert days are Saturday 8/31 and Sunday 9/1.

The festival is returning to its hometown roots with a smaller footprint and smokin’ tunes at a great value. Attendees will see and hear some of the best blues, soul, rock and funk artists in the business including Anders Osborne, Lawrence, Neville Jacobs, The Main Squeeze, Flow Tribe, High & Mighty Brass Band, Southern Avenue, The Commonheart, Kat Wright, The National Reserve, Jake Kulak and the Lowdown, and Fairfield’s School of Rock, all on the stage of Westport’s Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts.

The popular JESUP JAM on the grounds of the Westport Library parking lot offers activities for every age; bouncy amusements, face painting, slime table and other arts and crafts for kids.  There will be a specialty food marketplace and a food court filled with delicious wood-fired, grilled and roasted food, handcrafted beer, premium liquor, wine and other refreshments and a local musician stage featuring talented musicians from Westport, Norwalk and neighboring towns.

Tickets to JESUP JAM at the Westport Library parking lot and LEVITT LIVE access to the Main Stage in the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts sold separately.  Kids 12 and under free. Rain or Shine.

Over the years the event has introduced attendees to rising stars and touring acts including Galactic, the Funky Meters, Sister Sparrow, The Revivalists, Anders Osborne, Marc Broussard, Samantha Fish, the Spin Doctors and Grammy winner Fantastic Negrito.
