Hawk Walk with Larry Fischer on Friday!

Hawk Walk with Larry Fischer on September 25 from 11AM - 1PM

You are invited to join Larry Fischer, expert bird bander, on a Hawk Walk at Trout Brook Valley Preserve, Freeborn Road in Easton.

RSVP's are required.

You will learn about the changes he has seen recording local hawk migration patterns. He almost always catches a hawk or two for these walks, and you can see him band the birds. He will share with you the data he records each year during this fantastic time of hawk migration and how vital Trout Brook Valley's open areas are.

This is an exciting learning opportunity for any distance learners in your family... masks and RSVP's are required by all present. There will be no more than 15 people at this event, so act now if you would like to join.

He will meet you at the Blueberry Patch, where there will be plenty of space  to spread out. A walk up to the Apple Orchard will follow. A short hike (.5 miles) to the blueberry patch will be required from Freeborn Road, and the hike up to the Orchard will be about a 1-mile round trip. Bring your sturdy hiking shoes, binoculars, and a camera. Bathroom facilities are NOT available.
