Westport Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer A. Fava announced today that the Westport Parks and Recreation Department will be sponsoring a Clean-up Westport Day event on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
“A letter has been sent to over 55 civic organizations and community groups asking for their help and cooperation in organizing the clean-up,” said Ms. Fava. “The Parks Advisory Committee will be focusing its efforts at Riverside Park and Grace Salmon Park. Any resident who is interested in joining may show up at 9:30am on April 24 to assist in clean-up efforts at these locations. Even if you are not part of any of the organized locations, you can still help clean up Westport by taking a few minutes on this day to clean up litter along your street or any public space.”
Free trash bags will be available for pickup outside the Westport Parks and Recreation office located at 260 Compo Road South on April 16 between 8:30am and 4:30pm. Trash bags will be limited to six bags per organization and must be requested by April 15.
Due to COVID-19, mask wearing and social distancing guidance should be followed. Thank you for your cooperation.
