Westport's 48th Fine Arts Festival will take place this weekend, Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 30 from 10am to 5pm. What a wonderful way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend and the start of summer!
Westport’s 48th Fine Arts Festival will be a highlight for collectors and residents from the Tri-State region, New England and beyond. Our nationally recognized juried festival features a premier roster of national and international fine artists exhibiting in a variety of categories - including painting, photography, sculpture, fiber, printmaking, mixed media, glass, ceramics, jewelry, wood, graphics and printmaking. All artwork is available for purchase in a wide variety of price ranges, subject matter, and style - sure to inspire everyone.
This art festival is free to the public and there will be high-quality on-site food vending, live music and fantastic selfie stations for the kids at murals created by MoCA Westport, One River and the Artists Collective of Westport.
Safety is of the utmost concern as we emerge from COVID. At this time of updating, CDC guidelines are now for those over 16 who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask outdoors - if you feel you are heading into a big crowd, please use your personal judgment and wear a mask to feel secure. If you feel unwell on the day, stay home and rest, please do not come out to a public space. Spare masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitizer will be available at the festival.
To plan your visit, the most popular times historically have been Noon to 3.30pm, before and after that window is usually quieter. We will be asking all patrons to try to tour to their right-hand side, which will aid with a one-way flow around the event and be easier for social distancing.
