Emmanuel Church Family Fair Tomorrow!

Emmanuel Episcopal Church’s 114th Family Fair — said to be the oldest in the state —is making a comeback on Saturday, September 18 with the new time slot, 2:00 - 6:00 pm. This time-honored event will take place on the parish grounds, 285 Lyons Plain Road, Weston; all Fairfield County residents and beyond are invited to attend, rain or shine.

The festivities planned are many and varied. Fair goers will enjoy music from the band, Eclipse, featuring Weston High School’s Karl Schulz, plus musical performances by Tony Award-winner, Kristin Huffman, and members of the New Paradigm Theater. Carnival fare will be served by the popular food trucks, Chez Lenard (gourmet hotdogs) and Tony Pizza Napolitano (pizza), complemented by local craft beer. There will also be children’s games, face painting, and a bouncy house for the younger set.

Shoppers will delight in the selection of treasures sold via booths of every sort to include baked goods and gems at Emmanuel’s longtime favorites: the “Country Kitchen” and jewelry booths (cash and credit cards accepted; no checks please). Great finds are sure to be discovered via the outside vendors also in attendance — Touchstone Crystal Jewelry by Swarovski (jewelry), Jane’s Good Food (pickles, jarred fruits and veggies), The Best Time Ever! (kids craft kits), and Sew_Journer (handmade pillows and masks) — to name a few.

All can bid on a Silent Auction sporting a vast array of items donated from community businesses and artisans alike. Attractive items include unique experiences, themed gift baskets, and other sought-after surprises. One such outing includes a flying lesson with a Certified Flight Instructor from Arrow Aviation at Danbury Airport and two scenic flights 1) The Hudson River Corridor to NYC and Statue of Liberty, and 2) The Fairfield County Coast and Candlewood Lake).

“All of us at Emmanuel are thrilled to host the 114th edition of our Family Fair. We look forward to gathering outside on our beautiful church campus with friends and family to share in fun activities, while enjoying great music and delightful food! We’re hoping for a big turnout on a beautiful fall day,” said Ed Sampson, Fair Committee Member.

Emmanuel’s Family Fair is a day not to be missed; families flock from all across the state to enjoy great eats, deals, and entertainment. It showcases a collaborative effort and builds community — a true win-win.

Additional details can be found at www.emmanuelwestonct.org or by calling the church office at (203) 227-8565. The Fair will be mask compliant according to local rules.
