Voices Café is thrilled to bring The BackCountry Jazz BeBoppers to our music-loving audience on Saturday, March 11th at 8pm.
BackCountry Jazz celebrates, preserves, and expands the rich tradition of America’s art form, Jazz, with high quality music programs for underserved youth, that engage the creative spirit, encourage self-expression and stimulate academic achievement. The student performing ensemble, The BackCountry Jazz BeBoppers showcase this tradition with some of the best young musicians in the program bringing their unique, contemporary talents, for what promises to be an evening of creative, energetic entertainment!!
After hearing their performance at the Fairfield Theater, Mike Longo, musical director and pianist for Dizzy Gillespie exclaimed, “These can’t be children, they must be 40 year olds…”
Enjoy café-style seating (at tables) or individual seating, bring your own beverages and snacks, or buy a snack from our sweet treats table. Bring some friends, and groups of four or more can reserve table space. (Doors open at 7:30pm.) General admission: $25 per person and livestream is also available. Voices Café is located at The Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport CT.
