Throw on a costume and come ready to dance your CLASP off! Join Band Central for an evening of party-vibe rock music to benefit CLASP, a local nonprofit that provides homes and opportunities for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The pre-party starts at 6:30 pm in the FTC gallery with complimentary light bites and the opportunity to support a great cause.

Expect the unexpected at this dynamic evening that marries contemporary dance and string music in stunning ways. Live musicians of Alturas Duo and Callisto Quartet will be featured in a brand-new work, Desde Adentro – From Within, by Claire Mazza set to music by composer Javier Farias. Alejandro Ulloa will premiere another new piece set to Ezio Basso’s music and a magnetic duet by Frances Ortiz will be performed.

Nicknamed by Jerry Garcia himself as the Master of the Universe, Melvin is joined by guitarist John Kad-lecik, bassist John-Paul McLean, and drummer Jeremy Hoe-nig to bring you the epic Hammond B-3 magic you know from his 18 years with the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin helped define what jam band music is today.
