The opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 14th from 6pm to 8pm and is open to the public. All are welcome to come and meet the artist in person and enjoy complimentary wine and beer while viewing Pam Ackley’s work.

“My paintings are the poetry of my interpretations of reality. After several years of formal academic training, I often take my work toward the more contemporary, non-classical style.

This is accomplished by combining structure of form along with an organic, reactive approach to color and value. While my still life’s adhere to the traditional, I incorporate contemporary design.

“Objects in Space” are a departure from reality in that I allow my reactions to take the painting to places I cannot preconceive as I focus only on the essentials. My exhibition, “The Beginning” is a mix of my evolving styles however I always stay true to tradition and paint only from life.”

All pieces are for sale through the gallery by appointment. They will also be available to view online at https://www.newtonroux.com/collect

Newton Roux Gallery, at 14 Elm Street, occupies the 2nd floor corridor connecting Barbour and Whip Salon in the new Bedford Square retail complex in downtown Westport.
