Snowboarder, Connecticut native Lindsey Jacobellis wins Team USA's first gold medal at 2022 Winter Olympics!

Congratulations to Roxbury, Connecticut native Lindsey Jacobellis for winning the Gold Medal in Women’s Snowboard Cross for Team USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics and earning the first gold for the United States!

This is the second Olympic medal for Lindsey, a 5x Olympian (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022) who earned a silver at the 2006 Olympic games.

According to NBC Sports, Lindsey, 36 years of age, is the oldest American woman to win a winter Olympic medal of any color in any sport and the oldest snowboard medalist ever. 

Lindsey attended Stratton Mountain School in Stratton Vermont.
