At approximately 12:00 pm CT DOT attempted to conduct bridge repairs on the William Cribari bridge. Once the bridge was opened, it became stuck, and they were unable to close it.
They are currently working on getting the bridge closed so the roadway can be reopened. As a result of the issues with the bridge, Westport PD deployed officers to various locations in an attempt to ease traffic congestion. We have been advised that CT DOT will attempt to complete repairs tomorrow (06/16/23).
They have not advised a time yet, but once we are made aware, we will notify the public.
