2018 edition of Entrée Nous Launches Nov. 16

Popular restaurant guide Entrée Nous, which combines descriptions and a complimentary meal, will launch its 2018 version at Serena & Lily (35 Elm St. in Westport, Conn.) on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 6 - 8 p.m., where copies of the Entrée Nous Fairfield County 2018 book can be purchased.

Entrée Nous is a French phrase that means “between us,” and this unique guide plays on that by encouraging diners to partake in new culinary experiences via a fun food tour of Fairfield County. Diners can bring the book to each featured restaurant and receive a free companion entrée with the purchase of the first entrée. Each book offers 12 restaurants that are carefully selected to reflect the wide-ranging cuisine evident in Fairfield County.

More importantly, the book exposes diners to culinary destinations and delights they may have not been aware of but reflect places locals love to frequent. The restaurants are hand-picked based on their diverse menus, and the descriptions of each are designed to highlight the unique offerings. Featured are photos of signature dishes, menu snapshots, notes on interesting features or must-try cocktails or food items, and more. The restaurants also offer varying price points and different experiences, from casual to more formal, to target audiences interested in seeking out meals that move beyond the standard tried-and-true.

Entrée Nous founder Elizabeth Menke notes that in this third year of its inception, the guide has proven its worth for both restaurants as well as customers. ‘The restaurant owners are delighted to see new faces, who often become regulars once they’ve discovered the charm and excellent food of the featured establishments. And customers quickly recognize the value of the guide and are happy to have laid out for them such descriptive information about local restaurants they may not be familiar with.”

With the holiday season fast approaching, Menke also points out that the guide makes an excellent gift, not just for self-proclaimed foodies but also diners hoping to broaden their horizons a bit in the upcoming year and couples looking to enjoy regular date nights. The restaurants featured in the Entrée Nous Fairfield County 2018 edition include: 55 Wine Bar and Wood Grille (Fairfield), The Spread (South Norwalk), Elm (New Canaan), Blackstone’s Steakhouse (Greenwich), Rothbard (Westport), Walrus + Carpenter (Bridgeport), Bailey’s Backyard (Ridgefield), Bianco Rosso (Wilton), Harlan Social (Stamford), Lugano (Old Greenwich), Tablao (South Norwalk) and Note Kitchen & Bar (Bethel).

The guides are valid from Dec. 1, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2018.
