Westport Smart Home Unveiled on May 4

A Home Powered by the Sun and Controlled by your Voice!

On May the 4th 2019, TecKnow, a new smart home automation company in Westport, CT is unveiling its first home powered by the sun and controlled by your voice!

A brand-new rental house on Old Mill Beach, built in 2017, is the first to feature TecKnow's groundbreaking holistic smart home ecosystem uniting both Tesla and Apple technologies to create an energy efficient home of the future.

Phil Levieff, the founder of TecKnow grew up in Westport, attended Staples High School and has opened the company's flagship show space in the heart of Westport at David Waldman's artfully revisioned building at Bedford Square.  This cutting-edge consumer-facing company focuses on sustainability, creating efficiencies, reducing costs and carbon footprint, interoperability, convenience and security.

"We find that consumers are getting lost in a sea of smart technology offerings and are looking for a simple, cohesive approach.  Whether it is new construction or a retrofit, TecKnow offers a wireless solution and provides our clients with a new way to live that helps them focus on what is most important to them," remarks Phil.

Phil is very excited to have created and brought the pairing of Apple and Tesla technology to the area.  He is a member of the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force and part of the leadership of the Electric Vehicle Club of CT.  and his passion for green energy solutions is a huge component of the business plan.  As more and more consumers see the benefit of reducing their carbon footprint, creating energy efficiencies and incorporating a more sustainable way of life, TecKnow is poised to advise, educate, design, install, program and maintain this holistic smart ecosystem for their customer base.

"This is the way of the future," says Phil.  "The technology is already here and is being underutilized, so we have stepped in to help people understand how this technology can benefit and work FOR them."

This TecKnow home on the beach is nominated for the 2019 Westport Green Building Award for achievement in sustainable design and construction.  The owner is an advocate of reducing carbon footprint and had the vision to take a dilapidated cottage on the beach and transform it into a model of sustainability.  Michael Greenberg Architects and Builders and TecKnow worked together to complete the owners vision utilizing energy efficient building techniques, solar, solar storage and energy efficient voice-controlled automation.  Guests will witness the cars and home “move into action” with Homepod and Apple watch commands!

The May 4 unveiling of this truly unique property is a landmark event.
