Ethan Allen Prep at The Golf Performance Center Announces High School Scholarships

Ethan Allen Prep (EAP) at The Golf Performance Center (GPC), the Northeast’s premier golf academy, today announced the availability of a limited number of scholarships for high school student-athletes for the 2020-2021 academic year.

EAP provides a cutting edge high school education and expert golf training for both boarding and day school students.  Scholarships are also available for The Golf Performance Center’s Summer Achieve program.  The Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and financial need and funded through the Giving Young People a Chance Foundation. Scholarships will be awarded to student-athletes who are U.S. residents entering grades 9-12.

“EAP’s mission is to support young people on their journey toward achieving greatness in the classroom, on the golf course and in life,” said Roger Knick, founder of The Golf Performance Center, EAP and The Junior Golf Hub. “We aim to support better humans, not just better golfers, on the path to playing college golf.”

The decision to make the scholarships available through the GPC Foundation was driven by the current financial crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. “We know these are trying times for families so we are eliminating any obstacles for the most ambitious student-athletes,” says Knick.

The application deadline for EAP scholarships is June 1, 2020. To start the application process, contact admissions@thegolfperformancecenter.com or call 203-439-6758.

More than 100 students, who have capitalized on the GPC facilities and EAP educational services, have gone on to attend more than 80 colleges and universities, including Columbia, The University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon, Bucknell, Holy Cross and Colgate.

The blended learning model incorporates the flexibility of an online curriculum with the personalization of individualized and small group learning opportunities in EAP classrooms with EAP teachers.  Additionally, the flexibility of the EAP schedule enables students to continue learning while practicing and competing in tournaments in Florida throughout the winter months.
