Tell us about an organization in your town that makes you feel good
TAILS (The Alliance Limiting Strays). It’s an all-volunteer non-profit organization in Westport. We rescued two kittens from TAILS. Brothers. And they are brilliant! TAILS’ mission is to spay and neuter all stray animals and find their furever homes. They are wonderful!
Where do you go for inspiration and creativity?
Walking in my beautiful neighborhood or playing tennis. Walking frees up my mind from the daily grind and the beauty of Westport always inspires me. From the streams and waterfalls to the soaring canopy of trees overhead -- it is nature's sanctuary. My favorite season to walk in is fall.
We play tennis all over town and love the courts at Longshore in particular.
What do you love about your community?
It is small, sophisticated, gorgeous and offers a rural environment with city amenities. And there's the beach (Compo is my favorite)! Plus we are just 45 minutes to Manhattan. Westport has plenty of great shopping (Mitchell's and The Gap), gourmet markets (Balducci's and Whole Foods), and our cherished Trader Joe's! In addition, there are some reliably good restaurants including The Pearl and Artisan. Also amazing places - Westport Library, Levitt Pavilion, charitable organizations geared toward education.
