Westport Resident Christopher Johnson Joins Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Board

Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF) today announced that four new members have joined the nonprofit organization’s Board of Directors, as of the start of its new fiscal year on July 1, 2021.

Joining the Board are:

Justin Beal, Finance Operations Manager for Indeed.com, where he currently focuses on Enterprise Resource Planning system transformation and governance. He resides in Stamford.

Christopher Johnson, President of Global Financial Services & Payments for Pitney Bowes. He is a resident of Westport.

Dr. Maya Reddi, Professor in the School of Graduate Studies at Berkeley College in New York and one of the school’s founding faculty members. She resides in Greenwich.

Chris Whitney, Chief Financial Officer of Liberation Programs, one of Fairfield county’s leading behavioral health providers, specializing in substance use disorders. He is a resident of Darien.

The Board’s leadership will continue, including Briggs Tobin, Chair; Clayton Fowler and Johnna Torsone, who serve as Vice Chairs; Edwin L. Ford, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee; and Steve Edwards, Secretary.

The Board also includes Terrence Cheng; Gerald M. Fox III, Chair of Thrive by 25 Committee; Jon Fraade; Michelle K. Garvey; Carolyn Gonzalez; Joel Z. Green, Chair of Governance Committee; Mindy Houck; Joette Katz; Charles MacCormack; Neil Marcus; Jennifer M. Pagnillo, Chair of Professional Advisory Council; Mark Riser, Chair of Development & Marketing Committee; Preston Tisdale, Chair of Community Impact Committee; Maya Tichio; and Mary Woods, Chair of the Fund for Women & Girls Steering Committee.

 “At a time when our state and nation are facing the unprecedented challenge of combating and recovering from the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on everyone in our communities, we are pleased to add this diverse and talented group of individuals to our Board of Directors. We are pleased that the current Board leadership will continue to serve and we are fortunate to now have the additional voices of Justin, Christopher, Maya and Chris,” Juanita James, President & CEO, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation said. 

James added that the Board of Directors will continue to lead the Foundation in its strategic plan to address the opportunity gap in Fairfield County, with a focus on eliminating disparities in education, income, employment, housing and health care, exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.
