Lois will be sorely missed by the Westport community. Not only did she run the Chamber, but she also served on the RTM for 20 years. That is where I first met and got to know her. When I first took over the Chamber position, Lois was first in line to give me pointers as she had when I was new to the RTM.
Always dressed to the nines, with perfect hair, Lois was a pleasure to be around. Even deep into her 80s there she was, as she always had, doing what she liked most, making Westport better.
Lois and I also shared another passion, protecting open space. Her crowning achievement was spearheading the purchase and saving of what is now called Winslow Park. Thanks, Lois, we could not have the Dog Festival without you.
