So Ya Wanna Be A Broadway Star...is back on November 6 at Emmanuel Church in Weston

SO YA WANNA BE A BROADWAY STAR? A Mentoring and Audition Event  on Sunday November 6th from 1:00-5pm at Emmanuel Church in Weston, CT

Singers and actors ages 8 years through adult will audition and receive professional feedback from Broadway and Film casting directors, agents and producers in New Paradigm Theatre’s (NPT) signature event, SO YA WANNA BE A BROADWAY STAR? (c)  

Pre-registration is required.

Kristin Huffman, Artistic Director of NPT, Broadway veteran and professor at the University of Hartford will also lead a panel discussion and the audience may ask insider questions about the industry. “Mentoring is a large component of NPT’s mission statement. This year we will feature stand-out performers from Broadway Star, in our “NPT Favorites concert the following weekend with the Yale Alleycats.  The Broadway Star event is also the “audition” for our annual Holiday show (Dec 10 and 11) presented at Fairfield Theatre Company each year.  Every participate in this event in November will be offered the opportunity to be in the Holiday show.  https://nptheatre.org/holiday-show-2022/

We are also co-producing “Carousel” in Concert with The Norwalk Symphony Orchestra in February, and we will be selecting stand out performers to be a part of this show as well. 

Networking is crucial in the Entertainment industry and the singers who have competed meet and receive feedback from such pros as : Jamibeth Marolis (NY Casting Dir: Les Miz, Phantom, Cats); Paul Bogaev (Music Producer Movies- Dreamgirls, Chicago and Across the Universe) ; Gwendolyn Jones (Broadway and National tours) ; Ralph Perkins (Choreographer and Director in US and head of Dance Department at University of Hartford), Scott Bryce (Emmy nominee, film and TV performer and director), Jeremy Sickels (NY talent agent with Daniel Hoff agency and many other working professionals.
