Executive Chef Adrien Blech is to Appear on Beat Bobby Flay Thursday at 9 PM

This Thursday, Adrien Blech, Executive Chef at Orienta in Greenwich will compete on Beat Bobby Flay, an American cooking competition show on the Food Network.

The show features various chefs competing against Bobby Flay. The show is taped in front of a live audience. Chef Blech will appear in season 33, episode 8, titled ‘Kitchen Crime Scene’. He is a Westchester-based Chef with a restaurant in Fairfield County.

In the first round, two guests, often a celebrity chef and a friend of Flay, introduce two contestants who cook for 20 minutes against each other using an ingredient chosen by Flay. The guests then determine who cooked the better dish and will face Flay in the second round. The winning contestant then chooses a dish for both the contestant and Flay to cook in the second round which lasts for 45 minutes. The winner of the second round is determined by three judges in a blind taste test. Through 405 competitions, Bobby Flay's win–loss record is 252-153 (a 62.2% win percentage).

The Food Network teaser states, “Bobby Flay's got a signature dish that's way out of his comfort zone -- and Law & Order's Angie Harmon and Scott Conant aren't making it any easier as they aid and abet chefs Crystal Wahpepah and Adrien Blech”. Blech moved to Westchester County with his family when he was only six years old. He was a star football player at Rye Neck High School in Mamaroneck and All-State Champion. He lives with his wife Kate and their daughter in Westchester and was approached to be on the show in early 2022.

Blech has an impressive resume of over 13 years working at world-renowned establishments such as Le Bernardin, Soho House LA, Le Royal Monceau, Guy Savoy, in addition to Orienta’s sister restaurants, Le Penguin, and Le Fat Poodle. He was awarded Best Chef of 2023 by Greenwich Lifestyle magazine and has appeared on NBC Connecticut.
