First Selectwoman Tooker stated “the Town of Westport relies heavily on its volunteers. Our citizens are diverse, dynamic and committed to the town. Their hard work is vital to supporting our local government. Over the last 18 months we have appointed over 50 new members, and we are looking forward to including more Westport residents with interest in giving back, gaining knowledge of their municipal government, and serving the town. Some boards have minimal commitments, others are more hands-on and skill driven, but all play an important role. With the commitment and support of volunteers, we strive to make Westport the best place to live, work, play and learn in the region.”
