Three questions with Michelle Sperry, owner of Connecticut Theater Dance Company.
Why did you start your business?
I wanted to create a unique dance education program for children and adults. It was important to me that my business, a 501(c)3 non-profit, be a service, resource and inspiration everyone in our local community. My business started out providing classes for very young children, then developed into a pre-professional training program for advancing dancers, and most recently expanded to include a world-renowned professional contemporary ballet company.
Best selling product/service?
Our Dance Major program is by far our best seller! Dance Majors receive training in a comprehensive set of dance genres that provide each dancer with well-rounded training in multiple disciplines, focus and discipline improvement, and excellent overall health and wellness, all providing increased success in academics, social development and becoming productive members of the local community and beyond.
