Three questions with Jean Paul Desrosiers Jr., owner of Sherpa.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business because I wanted to be amongst the most creative, educated and out-of-the-box thinking team in the area and knew we could deliver a better fitness experience than what currently existed. Still achieving that. 

How many people do you employ? Any youth or seniors from the community?

I have 7 that I employ including 2 seniors that train senior clients and I also accept 2 interns each year from area high schools. 1, in particular, I recently hired as our running coach.

Athletic Shoe Factory handles all my team apparel needs.

We’ve been working with Laddie Lawrence for the past 8 years supplying The Westport Summer Series with all the water their runners need each summer.
