Chris Gaglione, a local master hair stylist that is known for his serious haircutting chops, has joined the team at Whip Salon Westport in Bedford Square and will be taking appointments Tuesdays through Saturdays starting Tuesday, October 30th. Chris has been cutting hair for over 30 years and has a reputation as one of the best in the business. He trained in London at Vidal Sassoon and Paris at Jacques Dessange before putting down roots in Westport where he has been behind the chair for 13 years. Chris focuses on haircutting for men and women but is also passionate about blowouts and updo work.
"I really believe I've found my new home," said Chris Gaglione. "The vibe at Whip Salon in Bedford Square feels like you're stepping into a hip, modern salon you could find anywhere in Manhattan. I'm excited to be working alongside a talented staff, some of whom I've worked with before and I just feel like it's the future for hair in Westport."
Chris had been thinking about a change for some time. Knowing he wanted to do something new, in July he set out to open his own salon in Manhattan. He quickly realized that he missed his Westport clients and longed to be back where he felt he belonged. "Even though it was hard to walk away, I knew it was the right move for me," said Chris.
