Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

You're IT Newbrook Kitchen and Artisan Market!

Three questions with Cindy & Danielle Hartog, Chefs/Owners of Newbrook Kitchen and Artisan Market.

Why did you start your business?

We are a mother/daughter team who opened our business almost 3 years ago in order to provide flavorful AND healthy food in a chic and warm atmosphere. We both became paleo 6 years ago after BOTH being diagnosed with different autoimmune conditions and finding it difficult to find food establishments to fit our dietary choices. Newbrook was a labor of love that developed to fill our own needs.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. "I wish I could…"

We wish we could convince non-paleo people to come to try our food and see how good it tastes.

What is your best selling product/service?

We sell paleo goods, crafted by other companies, as well as our own food, but the items we make in the house are definitely what brings people in. We sell our own house-made Bone Broth, Turkey & Veggie Burgers, house-made gluten-free breads and desserts, and Cauliflower Crust Pizza. We even make a Paleo Lasagna!

We nominate Nutty Bunny Vegan Ice Cream.
