Why Small Businesses Matter Reimagined
Small businesses matter - now more than ever. They are answering the call with innovation and determination like never before.
We hope you join us in supporting them by sharing their story far and wide and shopping local! We are thankful to Fairfield County Bank for their continued support and for making this series possible.

Three questions with Dina, founder of Artistic Image Salon & Blow Dry Bar.
What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?
I would like the community to know that we are open for business. We have expanded our hours, we are here 7 days a week! We have shifted our staff around, limiting the number of stylists working at any given time. The health and safety of our clients and staff are of the utmost importance to us. We are tailoring our services to meet the needs and expectations of our clients, some clients are looking to limit their time in the salon or are looking for off-peak hours. I would also like the community to know that we are currently performing all the same great services that we did prior to the virus!
We are a full-service salon. The best way to help local businesses to prosper in this difficult time is to shop locally. Local businesses need you to buy local. Local businesses are struggling to make ends meets, for many of them, the holiday shopping season is when they make their money. Gifts certificates or items from your local favorite spot not only makes a great gift, but it helps to keep our local economy strong.
Are you offering any new products or ways for customers to purchase your products or services that are popular during this crisis?
Artistic Image Salon is offering curbside pick up of products. Clients just call in their orders and pay over the phone, and their products will be brought out to them and their pre-chosen time.
Are there certain individuals or organizations that supported you and your business through this trying time?
We are truly blessed with a fantastic staff and amazing clients. Everyone has been flexible with the constantly changing schedules this past spring. When we closed in March, we thought it was only for a few weeks, and then maybe a month. It turned out to be two and a half months. It was hard. We had many clients who reached out to offer their support, some bought products or gift certificates, some just wanted us to know that they were thinking of us.
