“Figures” by Artist Allison Meyler Exhibit Closing Event at Newton Roux Gallery Friday, May 21

Newton Roux Gallery is a contemporary art space in Bedford Square in downtown Westport. Its current solo exhibition "Figures" featuring works by Ridgefield, CT-based artist Allison Meyler is closing on May 22nd and will be celebrated by a closing event.

Come and join us for a glass of fizz and your final chance to see the show on Friday, May 21st from 5pm - 630pm at the gallery and meet the artist.

“Figures” is a collection of work by Meyler, spanning 2018-2020. This body of work addresses the artist’s fascination with the multiple roles that women juggle in today’s society, as well as women’s notion of body image. Not always anatomically correct, her abstract treatment of the female figure is intended to be a balance between what is “pretty” and also what is true.

All pieces are for sale through the gallery which is open daily in Bedford Square in downtown Westport. They are also available to view online here
