Westport Farmers Market Opens for The Season at Imperial Avenue Beginning May 13

Westport Farmers’ Market (WFM) is thrilled to announce that it will return to its home at 50 Imperial Avenue beginning Thursday, May 13. The summer market will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each Thursday through mid-November.

WFM will resume the majority of its pre-pandemic, onsite shopping experience and programming while honoring all state and local health guidelines.  We invite you to help us “ring” in the 2021 season at high noon with a farmers’ call – a.k.a. ringing cow bells. WFM will hosts a special toast with Cross Culture Kombucha to celebrate our perseverance through 2020.

With a roster of over 50+ vendors, this year’s market is ready to shine. Shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase from over 30 vendors each Thursday, including new-to-the-market vendors such as:

·       Parlor

·       Stonington Kelp Farm

·       Edenesque (alternative dairy)

·       Tribus Brewery

·       Sprout Juice Bar

·       Stylish Spoon

·       And more………

A full vendor list can be found at www.westportfarmersmarket.com/vendors

WFM will adhere to all state and federal health guidelines and remains committed to providing the safest and healthiest shopping experience for our customers. The beloved programs Get Growing, Music @ the Market, Artist Alley, Chef @ the Market, Friend of the Market and Young Shoots will resume, as will a few surprise events to be announced.

“WFM persevered in 2020 through one of the most challenging years by adhering to a strict farmers’ market model, emerging safely and without a single case of COVID-19,” said Lori Cochran Dougall, executive director of WFM. “We look forward to returning in full force this year, easing back safely into being the community’s go-to food hub again.”
