Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Bella Bridesmaids!
Three questions with Maggie Foley, founder of Bella Bridesmaids.
Why did you start your business?
I always had a love for fashion and worked for years in contemporary fashion. My life dream was to own my own boutique. I got married five years ago and I quickly realized that I loved everything about the wedding planning process.
Especially picking out my bridesmaid dresses at my current Bella Bridesmaids location! It was like Be. The process was so fun and easy, it seemed like a dream job. I immediately inquired about the franchise and here we are five years later.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We specialize in bridesmaid's dresses, but the collections are so much more than that. The dresses we carry can be worn for the mother of the bride or groom, wedding guests, formal events, and we even stock delightful flower girl dresses.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
In the wedding industry, I met some incredible vendors. It’s been so lovely to collaborate with them.
Some of our partnerships include Plumed Serpent for stellar bridal wear, Bluu Ribbon Events for top-notch big day planning, Bespoke Designs for creative stationery, and Lavender and Pine for luxe gifts.
Maggie would like to nominate Organics Farm to Skin to be featured next!
