Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Whipped Up Creations!

Three questions with Corey Tolkin, Co-Owner of Whipped Up Creations - Unbakeables.

Why did you start your business?

I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, my mom would never let me eat raw cookie dough. Unbakeables are the answer. They’re an egg-free, safe-to-eat cookie dough treat.

What is your best-selling product/service?

We make and sell unbakeables... ready-to-eat cookie dough treats. They are all egg-free, all-natural, and safe to eat directly from your freezer. More than simply a spoonful of dough, they are circular pucks of dough sandwiched between two layers of complimentary topping. They’re perfectly pre-portioned pieces, 150 calories or less!

Unbakeables are sold in containers of 5 pieces and are offered in 9 different flavor combinations, like chocolate chip dough with a dark chocolate pretzel. There’s surely a flavor to please everyone!

How many local businesses do you work with?

We work with many local businesses in the area. In addition to selling unbakeables online at unbakeables.com, we also sell them on the shelves at Palmer's Market in Darien, Walter Stewarts in New Canaan, Village Market in Wilton, UCBC in New Canaan and Darien, The Pantry in Fairfield, and Caraluzzi's in Newtown, Bethel, and Georgetown.
