Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Lynne Nolan Real Estate!
Four questions with Lynne Nolan.
Why did you start your business?
I started selling real estate after I moved to Westport because I rented, bought, sold, and then bought again within 2 years. I did most of the work to find my homes and thoroughly enjoyed the process. So I thought, why not make it my profession?
What is your best-selling product/service?
I help sellers stage their homes to make them more current for today's buyers, especially if they don't have the desire or funds to have their homes staged. I can also find off-market homes for buyers because I know what has been on and what hasn't sold, or what is coming on the market.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
I use local painters, some stagers and some decorators, also some home furnishing stores to help stage homes.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
I recently switched brokerage firms to come to Compass and couldn't be happier, as they fulfill all of our technology needs and also provide a ton of support. But my biggest change is the partnership with my son, who just got his license and now we work together.
Lynne would like to nominate Post to be featured next "They are a cool new home furnishing company that just opened in Westport on the post road."
