Why Small Businesses Matter: Michael Chait, Realtor

Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

Three questions with Michael Chait, Realtor in Westport.

Why did you start your business?

I have been living in Westport for several years and have become enamored with its commitment to art, its natural beauty, and the people who live here. The pandemic shifted my career focus and becoming a Realtor allowed me to help others during these challenging times.

What is your best-selling product/service?

I represent buyers, sellers, and renters of homes, condos, and apartments in Connecticut. My work as a realtor personally pre-screening properties, assessing the value and my knowledge of local ordinances is a key advantage to my clients. My approach gives my clients an advantage. Anyone can go on the internet, but it doesn’t give them the full story.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Having a background in the arts and business gives me the unique ability to use both skills to photograph and video properties for the buyer or the seller in a way that is most advantageous for a successful sale. I photograph and video my listings and/or pre-assessment videos for my clients to make them as easy as possible and aesthetically pleasing.
