Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
Three questions with Susan Krauss, founder of Boost! Child & Family Services and Boost! University.
Why did you start your business?
We started Boost! in 2015 to provide families and individuals with high-quality mental health support through a compassionate and personalized care model.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We are known for our therapy and coaching services for families, individuals, and groups. We take an eclectic approach to counseling, utilizing a variety of modalities as appropriate to best meet the needs of our clients.
By offering individual psychotherapy, family and group therapy, parenting workshops, and educational/psychological testing all in one space, we hope that families will feel supported and confident that Boost! can provide all that they need to achieve their goals.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
While we remain dedicated to providing quality and individualized mental health care support to clients, we have expanded our vision to include specialized services for college students through our Boost! University (Boost!U) program.
Recognizing the mental health crisis affecting college campuses around the country, we are working to continue growing our Boost!U program to overcome traditional barriers to standard therapy for college students.
Boost! Child & Family Services and Boost! University is located at 500 Post Rd E 2nd Floor Suite 230 in Westport. Visit Boost! Child & Family Services and Boost! University online here, and make sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram pages as well!
