Tomorrow, Feburary 18th at 10:30 a.m., Congressman Jim Himes will tour The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.
Hines will visit the popular South Norwalk family attraction for an update on the Aquarium’s vision for environmental education and to meet the Aquarium’s new president, Dr. Brian Davis, who came to the Aquarium in late December from the Georgia Aquarium.
Their tour of The Maritime Aquarium galleries will include stopping by the “Shark Anatomy & Evolution” program being presented to high school students from the South Kent School. This two-hour class is one of several new standards-based programs available to high school students at the Aquarium. (In addition, all-new programs at sea for high school students will be offered beginning this spring with the inaugural season of the Aquarium’s state-of-the-art new boat, the research vessel Spirit of the Sound.™).
