Cheer-ful Day for Wilton

Two of Wilton High School's Varsity cheerleading stunt groups placed in the medals in the individual event at the New England Cheerleading Association Regional Open Championship in East Haven, CT on March 1st. The stunt group of (from left with yellow ribbons:) Cristina Salatino, Bridget Saxe, Chloe Kouvaris, Meaghan Herlyn and Nicole Amato placed fourth, while the stunt group of (from left with green ribbons:) Taylor Aquan, Teagan Tait, Avery Langhoff, Jamie Perry and Annabelle Wert took fifth. Both groups made the podium in a very tough partner stunt competition field of thirteen of the most elite teams in the state. The WHS Varsity squad placed 7th overall in the advanced large varsity team division, turning in one of their best performances of the season.

Earlier in the day, the Wilton youth competition squad also performed a terrific routine, and took second place in their division.
