Spring has arrived and with it, a sense of renewal and newfound health – topics that nutrition therapist, Meredith Mulhearn, is a definite proponent of. Ms. Mulhearn, owner of Cucumber and Chamomile, LLC (www.cucumberandchamomile.com), assists children and adults seeking healthier diets and optimal wellness. Her business, launched last June, has been an asset to the Ridgefield community and beyond, and her important work has not gone unnoticed. On April 26, The National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) awarded Ms. Mulhearn their 2014 "Going Up" award, given to "an NANP member, in professional practice for three (3) years or less, who has already begun to obtain visibility, success and distinction in their business."
In just a short time, Meredith Mulhearn has made her mark. She has built a steady clientele, spearheaded the "Eat Well Ridgefield" initiative, launched a speaking series at the local retailer, Nature's Temptations, and participated in the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) health fair. In addition, Mulhearn is the nutrition consultant at the Ridgefield Recreation Center, is collaborating with wellness company, NuWeigh, provides employee workshops regarding better nutrition and has also presented at WestConn.
Ms. Mulhearn's commitment to improving health and wellness in Fairfield County caught the attention of Patty Lennon, CEO of Danbury's coaching firm, Mom Gets a Life, who nominated her for the "Going Up" award. "Meredith Mulhearn's dedication to her mission to support each person's health and vibrancy through nutrition never ceases to amaze me. I can't imagine anyone is more deserving of this award than Meredith," said Ms. Lennon.
