Norwalk Hospital, part of the Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) and a leading healthcare organization providing personalized care without compromise, has announced the appointment of five new volunteers to its Board of Directors. These volunteers play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of the organization and keeping a focus on community needs. Joining the board, effective immediately, are the following community leaders:
Heather Frimmer, MD - Dr. Frimmer is the medical director of Norwalk Radiology and Mammography Center as well as the director of Breast Imaging at the Smilow Family Breast Health Center at Norwalk Hospital. She is a board certified radiologist with fellowship training in breast and abdominal imaging and is an attending radiologist at Norwalk Hospital.
Craig Glover, MBA, FACHE, CMPE, CHCEF – Mr. Glover is the CEO of the Norwalk Community Health Center, a non-profit, federally qualified community health center. He has a plethora of experience in non-profit community-based healthcare and is well-known in the Norwalk community as a passionate advocate for the underserved. Mr. Glover serves as a Trustee on the Fontbonne University Board of Trustees in addition to several other board appointments.
LaTanya Langley, Esq. – Ms. Langley serves as Vice President and General Counsel, Group Stationery, Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East and Africa at BIC International Corporation, an internationally known brand for writing instruments and other consumer products. Ms. Langley is a member of the Connecticut and New York Bars as well as the US District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a graduate of Trinity College, University of Connecticut School of Law, and studied at the London School of Economics. Born and raised in Norwalk, Ms. Langley is a commissioner for the City of Norwalk Redevelopment Agency; a member of the Mayor’s Business Advisory Council and also serves on other civic and community-based boards.
Danielle M. Robinson, Ph.D. – Mrs. Robinson is the Director of Alcohol Policy and Reputation Management at Norwalk-based Diageo North America where she is responsible for developing responsible drinking programs and creating the North American Learning Skills For Life program. Mrs. Robinson serves on several community boards including the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, The Workplace and The Carver Foundation of Norwalk, Inc. She was featured in Savoy Magazine as one of the Top 25 Influential Women in Corporate America in 2014 and received the 2016 Communitas Award as well as the NAACP Stamford Woman of Power Award in 2015.
Curtis Stewart – A retired Hewitt Associates partner and US Air Force Captain, Norwalk resident Curtis “Corky” Stewart is embracing his retirement as a deeply committed community volunteer. Mr. Stewart, an Economics graduate of Dartmouth College, has been a longtime Norwalk Hospital volunteer serving since 2008 and more recently in the role of Norwalk Hospital Volunteers Board Chair. He has been involved with the Westport Community Band and the Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club. He currently serves as Board Chair for the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk.
